Acorn Bakery is located on Whidbey Island, Washington and specializes in breads, unique pastry, celebration cakes, and desserts.
Owner/Baker Camille Green's past experience farming on the island helped develop her passion and build her knowledge of Whidbey’s rich seasonal and ingredients—she utilizes local purveyors’ fare including vegetables from Deep Harvest Farm, and organic local flours milled at Fairhaven Mill in Burlington, WA. Previously, Camille earned her chops baking at Langley-staple Seabiscuit Bakery, and Bayview Farmers Market favorite, Hummingbird Bakery.
Acorn Bakery is committed to sustainability and minimizing food waste, and Camille puts her creativity to work in reusing any excess ingredient: extra sourdough starter can be transformed into seedy sourdough crackers, and unused puff pastry corners are rolled into bite-sized pastry puffs.
Currently, costumers can order Acorn products through the local food hub, Whidbey Island Grown, and weekly online through this website.
